Description
Since 2012, the Global Center on Cooperative Security has released its Blue Sky Report on the margins of the UN General Assembly's biennial review of the Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy (Strategy). The key recommendations of the forthcoming sixth version of this independent report suggest concrete ways the United Nations can better leverage its comparative advantages to improve policy development, inter-agency coordination, delivery, and impact of counterterrorism and preventing violent extremism efforts in a manner that systemically accounts for human rights and civil society engagement. The Global Center is grateful for the support of the governments of the Netherlands, Norway, and Switzerland for the Blue Sky Process, and the government of Sweden for our broader UN engagement.
