Appointments to fill vacancies in subsidiary organs and other appointments [item 114] (b) Appointment of members of the Committee on Contributions The Committee resumed its consideration of this agenda item. The Chair drew the attention of the Committee to document A/70/102/Add.1. The Committee decided, by acclamation, to recommend that the General Assembly appoint Mr. Simon Hough (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) as a member of the Committee on Contributions for a term of office beginning on the date of appointment by the General Assembly, until 31 December 2017. The Committee thus concluded its consideration of this agenda item at this stage and the Chair requested the Rapporteur to report directly thereon to the General Assembly. Financing peacekeeping operations Financing of the United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic and Chad [item 150] Financing of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus [item 153] Financing of the United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste [item 156] Financing of the United Nations Supervision Mission in the Syrian Arab Republic [item 163] Financing of the African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur [item 165] The Committee began its consideration of these agenda items. The Director, Peacekeeping Financing Division, Office of Programme Planning, Budget and Accounts introduced, in one statement, the reports of the Secretary-General (A/70/559, A/70/580, A/70/717, A/70/560, A/70/564, A/70/583 and A/70/730*). The Chair of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions introduced the related reports of that Committee (A/70/856, A/70/742/Add.7, A/70/857, A/70/858 and A/70/742/Add.6). The Committee thus concluded its general discussion of these agenda items. The Chair informed the Committee that informal consultations on agenda item 153 (Financing of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus), would be held on that day, Friday, 6 May, immediately following the adjournment of the formal meeting and would be coordinated by Mr. Katlego Boase Mmalane (Botswana). The Chair also informed the Committee that informal consultations on the closed peacekeeping missions, namely agenda items 150 (Financing of the United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic and Chad), 156 (Financing of the United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste) and 163 (Financing of the United Nations Supervision Mission in the Syrian Arab Republic), would be held as reflected in the programme of work and would be coordinated by Mr. Madhuka Sanjaya Wickramarachchige (Sri Lanka).
