Intergenerational Dialogue - 10th UNAOC Global Forum
Intergenerational Dialogue: "Building the future together: intergenerational dialogue for peace and sustainable development"
In order to build peaceful and sustainable future, people of all generations must see and recognize the value of diverse perspectives and different points of view. Strategies such as intergenerational dialogue can bridge generational gaps, harnessing the unique insights and skills of each age group to promote empathy and collaboration. Moreover, the inclusive approach of intergenerational dialogue fosters a shared sense of purpose, ensuring that decisions and policies can be made with future generations in mind. In the Pact for the Future, the international community commits to strengthening intergenerational partnerships and fostering solidarity among generations by creating spaces for constructive interactions between youth and older individuals.
By nurturing intergenerational dialogue, we can build stronger communities and partnerships that reflect the needs and interests of future generations. As articulated in the Pact of the Future, today's decisions and actions should resonate across generations, ensuring that we act responsibly to safeguard the needs of those to come while promoting and respecting the human rights of all individuals.
