As part of the first-ever UN Peacebuilding Week, this youth-led high-level dialogue convened by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs explores youth inclusion, disarmament and peacebuilding.

The conversation features Ambassador Jihoon Cha, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations, and Ms. Izumi Nakamitsu, UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs. It is moderated by Nurullo Rasulov, Youth4Disarmament alumnus.

At a time of rising geopolitical tensions and increasing global military spending, the dialogue highlights why investing in youth, peacebuilding, and disarmament is both a moral imperative and a strategic necessity. It brings forward a clear message: young people are already transforming the peace and security landscape, and their participation in disarmament and peacebuilding must be treated as the norm rather than the exception.
