Description

As a significant event of the newly established UN Youth Office (UNYO), the fourth Youth2030 progress report is set to be launched on the sidelines of the High-level Political Forum 2024. The UNYO envisages that the launch of the report will be with youth networks, Member States, and the UN System.

Objectives

The side event will:

  • Unveil the fourth Youth2030 progress report with its dashboard, highlighting the significant strides made in implementing the UN Youth Strategy and summarizing the areas for improvement.
  • Outline the vision for the next six years of Youth2030- enabling youth to power the SDG acceleration and "Our Common Agenda" operationalization efforts- and galvanize support from Member States and key stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations on the way forward to rejuvenate the UN's workforce and transform internships in line with UN 2.0.
