Measures on scientific and technological developments relevant to the Convention

States Parties consider the draft measures contained in Section B of the "rolling text" presented by the Chairperson as document BWC/WG/6/CRP.1.

A mechanism to review and assess scientific and technological developments relevant to the Convention and to provide States Parties with relevant advice

States Parties discuss the science and technology mechanism.

In line with the indicative schedule of activities adopted at the first session of the Working Group in March 2023, the following topics will be addressed:
• 11 and 12 August 2025: international cooperation and assistance
• 13 and 14 August 2025: scientific and technological developments, confidence-building and transparency
• 15 and 18 August 2025: confidence-building and transparency, compliance and verification
• 19 and 20 August 2025: compliance and verification, national implementation
• 21 and 22 August 2025: national implementation, procedural report
