The Solutions Pathway Model

Developed by the Office of the Special Adviser based on the engagement of 15 pilot countries, the model identifies five building blocks for development-focused solutions pathways to address internal displacement, adaptable to a specific country context. 

Government Leadership

Political, policy, financial and institutional leadership at national and local level to deliver solutions at scale 

Solutions Strategies

Setting priorities for IDPs within broader ecosystem of laws and policies, defining priorities, principles and actions

Development Financing

Coordinated approaches for long-term investment from domestic resources, IFIs, partners, and private sector 

Evidence driven 

Ensuring access to data across Government systems to inform policy making, and measuring progress

Empowering IDPs to participate and own the development of their solutions pathways
