Description

This side event will be divided in two panels.

  • Panel 1: It will focus on measures to ensure women's equal participation in labour markets, transparent recruitment procedures in companies or pay transparency, equal pay for equal work or work of equal value, access to decent work opportunities as well as recognising the link between undervalued and underpaid work in female dominated sectors.
  • Panel 2: It will look at why women and girls continue to be disproportionally affected by poverty and the risks of social exclusion they face, in particular those who experience intersectional forms of discrimination. Combatting all root causes and manifestations of women's poverty is key because these limit their ability to realize their full potential and enjoy their rights in society.
