The United Nations General Assembly established the first Monday of October as World Habitat Day to reflect on the state of cities, towns, and human settlements around the world. This year, UN-Habitat's Global Observance of World Habitat Day takes place on 3 October 2022 in the city of Balikesir, Republic of Türkiye.
Description

The theme of this day is "Mind the Gap. Leave No One and No Place Behind." Local action in cities is urgently needed to close the growing gap of urban inequalities due to COVID-19, climate and conflict.
