Parallel Sessions: Breaking Down Silos and Building Synergies through Shared Evidence and Scalable Action. This segment provides an opportunity to engage in a series of substantive discussions, focused on practical examples and solutions on key issues related to a just, equitable, and inclusive transition towards a net-zero and climate-resilient future. Three parallel sessions are envisaged to allow exchange of information and lessons learned from a variety of stakeholders.
Description
The three parallel sessions cover:
- A just, equitable and net-zero transition – how to get it right?
- Climate action as an avenue for social and economic change – how to get all stakeholders on board?
- Unlocking finance and partnerships for climate and SDG action – how can it be done?
The Global Conference on Climate and SDGs Synergies is convened by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to take stock of progress on synergistic action at all levels and to plan ahead on prioritizing areas with most need.
