The NCD Alliance will hold this event to encourage greater leadership on NCD prevention and care going into and after the HLM by sharing examples of successful accountability frameworks in order to:
- Enhance government leadership by providing examples of where government leadership resulted in coordinated and whole-of-government responses to NCDs,
- Strengthen accountability by showcasing tools and mechanisms that can be used to ensure transparency on NCD progress,
- Highlight the value of inclusive policymaking processes by including insights from people and communities impacted by NCDs to inform government strategies,
- Encourage partnerships between governments, civil society, and communities to build trust between stakeholders.
