An event to raise awareness, share best practices and support work that addresses menstrual health management globally. Commemorating Universal Children's Day. Menstrual health is a global health challenge that remains neglected, though its impact has a proven effect on girls' access to education and economic empowerment. Millions of girls and women around the world live in poverty due to cultural and economic factors partly related to Menstrual Health Management (MHM).  Menstrual health is an issue to be addressed under Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 and is key to achieving all six objectives of Goal 6. The survival, health and well-being of adolescents and women are essential to ending extreme poverty, promoting development and achieving the SDGs. Therefore, this event will focus on: - Current challenges faced by countries around the globe in effectively addressing MHM; - Best practices and lessons learned from MHM strategies currently undertaken in different countries; - Opportunities to support academia, civil society organizations, nonprofits and non-governmental organizations engaged in addressing MHM.
