Digital Violence Against Women: Towards Transformative Policies and Partnerships in the Framework of Beijing+30 (CSW 69 Side Event)
This event, held in Spanish with simultaneous English translation, will bring together Ibero-American authorities and experts to analyze progress and challenges in combating digital violence against women and its impact on democracy participation.
As the achievements of Beijing+30 are celebrated, it is crucial to recognize the pending areas, especially in contexts transformed by technology.
The implementation of effective public policies, digital literacy and international cooperation are essential to favor safe and egalitarian digital environments for women, in all their diversity, and to guarantee their right to a life free of violence.
This event will explore how the principles and priorities established in 1995 can guide the institutional and collective response to digital violence against women, making visible, from an Ibero-American scope, unpublished findings, regulatory frameworks and innovative public policies, as well as effective protection and prevention strategies, always from an intersectional approach.
