Africa has made major progress in public health, with expanded immunization, reduced maternal and child mortality, stronger health systems, and effective epidemic responses. This success reflects domestic leadership, community action, and international support. The African Union has advanced continental strategies, fostered cross-border cooperation, and mobilized political will. Yet, gains are threatened by shrinking aid due to financial constraints and shifting donor priorities.
