The ECOSOC Coordination Segment, will take place on 3-4 February 2022. The Coordination Segment will address the 2022 annual theme of ECOSOC and the HLPF "Building back better from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development". It will be chaired by the ECOSOC Vice-President, the Permanent Representative of Thailand.

At the inaugural coordination segment on 3-4 February 2022, ECOSOC will build on the work of its subsidiary bodies and the UN system to develop guidance on policies and international cooperation. It will give direction for the work of ECOSOC and these bodies and entities in the following months and improve coordination in support of the integrated implementation of the 2030 Agenda. It will also provide recommendations on the follow-up to the 2021 Ministerial Declaration of ECOSOC and the high-level political forum on sustainable development.
