The event will: Draw attention to the lack of sufficient resources dedicated to child protection staffing, capacities and training and emphasize the need to dedicate additional resources as an investment in prevention and response efforts;Reflect on where stronger links could be built across the UN system and with regionalorganizations and Member States, to reinforce child protection capacities building efforts to respond to and prevent grave violations against children;Recommend the strengthening of capacities to protect children and expertise, including through learning modules and training across the various dimensions of the pre-conflict, conflict, and post conflict environments;Propose concrete solutions for ensuring that child protection capacity, including dedicated human resources, and training are systematically supported and strengthened as part of the humanitarian, peace and security and development agendas;Highlight learning initiatives such as the Virtual Summer School on Children and Armed Conflict, UNICEF's training on the MRM, and DPO's civilian, military, and police training as essential ways to strengthen child protection capacity.
