On 11 December 2023, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), will host one of the three launches of the 2024 Global Humanitarian Overview (GHO) in Geneva, Switzerland. Two other events will be held in Doha, Qatar and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. These consecutive events aim to raise global awareness of pressing humanitarian needs and support system-wide resource mobilisation efforts, with the overarching theme of "Transforming Humanitarian Action: People at the Centre", reflecting our commitment to enhanced inclusivity and effectiveness. The sub-theme of the event in Geneva will be "People at the Centre of Humanitarian Action in the Context of the Climate Crisis"
