"75 YEARS OF LOVE" - UN Chamber Music Society Concert in Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations
24 Oct 2020 -  UN DAY - On 24 October 2020, the UN Chamber Music Society (UNCMS) – in partnership with VIRTUA CREATIVE – will launch “75 YEARS OF LOVE,” a virtual concert in celebration of the United Nations 75th Anniversary. The programme will be musically representative at the regional level, as World Classical Music and World Pop Music repertoire from all five official regional groups of the United Nations will be featured. Opening remarks will be delivered by Fabrizio Hochschild, Special Adviser on Preparations for Seventy-Fifth United Nations Anniversary; Filippo Grandi, UN High Commissioner for Refugees; and Melissa Fleming, UN Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications.

The “75 YEARS OF LOVE” project will also celebrate the debut album launch of the UN Chamber Music Society’s first world music album recording, in support of UNHCR, and in celebration of the UN’s anniversary. All donations received will be directed to support the humanitarian work of the UNHCR, which has provided for seventy-years life-saving assistance and protection to refugees globally. The album is scheduled to be launched by UNHCR in December 2020.
