United to Respect - United Nations training

This 4-minute video provides an introduction to United to Respect, a United Nations training initiative for all UN personnel that reminds that that we "all must be treated with dignity and respect" and enables us with knowledge and skills to take on our "roles and responsibilities to maintain a workplace free of any form of discrimination, harassment,…sexual harassment and abuse of authority" (ST/SGB/2019/8).

Description

The video explains the three components of the initiative – a mandatory course, dialogues and toolkit. All UN personnel must complete the online course, which is available on Inspira; all entities are obliged to offer the dialogues for their personnel; and the toolkit is available on a public website, available to all.

In a vote open to all UN personnel, this project, for its progress from its launch in January 2020 until January 2024, won the 2023 Secretary-General Award in the staff Engagement category.
