Following decades of conflict, over a span of twenty years since independence in 2002, Timor-Leste has undergone one of the most remarkable state-building and reconciliation processes in recent history. The country has owned its peacebuilding trajectory, shared its lessons and good practices, and openly discussed ways of addressing remaining challenges in the spirit of South-South and triangular cooperation (SS&TC).
