Why water matters: accelerating progress on SDG 6 - SDG Media Zone at the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly
During the UN 2023 Water Conference, co-founders of Water.org & WaterEquity, Matt Damon and Gary White joined the SDG Media Zone to address the global water crisis and the gaps and challenges around water. This year, as we approach the midpoint review of the 2030 Agenda, we must address the critical need for urgent action and acceleration on progress.

Patron of the Oceans Lewis Pugh Completes Historic Hudson Swim to Champion River Health
The UN Environment Programme's (UNEP) official Patron of the Oceans, Lewis Pugh undertook a 315-mile marathon swim ending at the tip of Manhattan, to emphasise the urgent need to protect the world's waterways ahead of the UN's landmark High Seas Treaty and Climate Ambition Summit next week.

Transboundary water cooperation is therefore crucial for peace, sustainable development and climate action.
