12 Jun 2020 -  Virtual Stakeout by Ambassador Nicolas de Rivière, Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of June on the situation in Central Africa.

Security Council members acknowledged the multiple socio-economic, humanitarian, political and environmental challenges the countries of Central Africa are facing.
They welcomed positive developments in and among a number of countries in the region but expressed concern about the persistence of conflicts in some parts of Central Africa. In the face of impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the region, they called on international partners to provide support to help the countries of the region overcome its consequences.
Security Council members encouraged parties to the conflicts in the sub-region to respond positively to SG and AU's calls for a global ceasefire. They expressed support for the ongoing efforts of SRSG Fall and UNOCA in conflict prevention and mediation efforts across the sub-region in promoting inclusive political dialogue, in encouraging stability in the region, and in assisting the countries of the sub-region in consolidating peace, resolving tensions, and preventing or mitigating political crises.
They reaffirmed their strong commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of the countries of the region.
