NYC: CoolRoofs to Combat Climate Change
30 Jul 2019 -  NYC °CoolRoofs is a City’s initiative to tackle climate change and support job seekers at the same time. The project trains and engages volunteers in applying white, reflective surfaces to rooftops, which reduces cooling costs, cuts energy usage, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative can help bring New York City closer to reaching its goal to reduce the gas emissions by 30 percent by 2030. (Special thanks to the New York City Department of Small Business Services, the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, the Mayor’s Office of Recovery and Resiliency, and Sustainable South Bronx, a division of the HOPE Program)
