International Law Commission

The International Law Commission (ILC) is a United Nations body that works to develop and codify international law. The ILC was established in 1947 by the General Assembly. The purpose is to promote the progressive development of international law, Codify international law, and Address issues related to regulating relations between states. 

The International Law Commission holds its annual session in Geneva, Switzerland for a period of ten to twelve weeks (as approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations).
