Countering Incitement to Commit Terrorist Acts Motivated by Extremism and Intolerance: the Kingdom of Morocco’s Approach and Experiences of other African States
The briefing will provide an opportunity to learn about and discuss the approach taken by one Member State to comply with its obligations under resolution 1624 (2005) to counter incitement to commit terrorist acts motivated by extremism and intolerance. Member States that have benefitted from Morocco’s strategy by receiving technical assistance and sharing its good practices will also be invited to share their own national initiatives in countering terrorist incitement by preventing the abuse of religion by terrorists and their supporters. I have attached the concept note for your convenience. Event organized by the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED).
