The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 (Sendai Framework) seeks to "prevent new and reduce existing disaster risk through the implementation of integrated and inclusive economic, structural, legal, social, health, cultural, educational, environmental, technological, political and institutional measures that prevent and reduce hazard exposure and vulnerability to disaster, increase preparedness for response and recovery, and thus strengthen resilience."

Since taking office in 2021, the ICC Prosecutor has emphasised his deep commitment to strengthening the Office's investigation and prosecution of sexual and gender-based crimes. The development, updating, and implementation of strong, clear policies is critical to success in this work.

Studies have shown women are more likely to be impacted by climate change than men. This session will be an opportunity to do a deep dive with CNN to illustrate the link between climate change and gender inequality in a way that is engaging and accurate but does not perpetuate harmful stereotypes. CNN Photo Desk will showcase images from their As Equals project and discuss the behind-the-scenes work that went into producing it.
