A spirited discussion on the second half of the SDGs and a deep dive into Goal 2 on Food.

The High Impact Initiative on food systems will underscore the integrated vision advanced by the Secretary-General in the Food Systems Summit and reaffirmed in the UNFSS +2 Stocktaking Moment 2023. The HII will call attention on the nexus of multiple critical SDGs, including the eradication of poverty, climate action and environmental protection, ending hunger and improving nutrition and access to healthy diets.

At the closing ceremony of the 5 day WFF flagship event, young leaders will present the outcomes of the youth action assembly and ways forward.

The first-ever junior edition of World Food Day features FAO Director-General QU Dongyu, innovators and agri-preneurs, food activists, chefs, astronauts, actors, students and more.

With events, dialogue and outreach extending throughout the year, the WFF flagship event is set to launch 1-5 October 2021. It will gather youth to drive awareness, foster engagement, and mobilize youth-led action in support of agri-food systems transformation.
