Julian Assange Case: UN torture expert urges UK to halt extradition to the US
The UN Human Rights Council-appointed independent expert on torture, Dr. Alice Edwards called on British authorities to consider Mr. Assange's appeal based on the substantial fears that, if extradited, he would be at risk of treatment amounting to torture or other forms of ill-treatment or punishment.
