EMBRACE! a World Free of Nuclear Weapons

United Nations, New York, 27 August 2010 -  The General Assembly of the United Nations designated 29 August as the International Day against Nuclear Tests through resolution 64/35.   The Day is dedicated to create awareness and education about the devastating effects of nuclear weapons on humankind and the environment and is an urgent call to action  to end nuclear tests as a means to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons - one of the key aspirations of people around the world.
